Threat Models and Security Analyses (TMSAs) are the first stage of Platform Security Architecture, providing information about threats to a particular device, from which to develop your security specifications.

This security analysis looks at a long-range asset-tracking device, as used for tracking the location of vehicles, containers, valuables or people, for example. These devices share features such as positioning, cellular communication and SIM-based network authentication, which allow them to be tracked in real-time and to optimise the logistics around these assets.
